Sandra Um started piano at the age of five and viola at the age of nine and has been a violist with TSO since 1998. She studied privately with former viola professor at the University of Arizona, Dr. Jeffrey Showell. Sandra is long time Tucsonan who is committed to ensuring arts and culture remain strong and vital in Southern Arizona. She received her two Bachelor degrees and MBA from the University of Arizona. Sandra has over 15 years experience in fund development primarily for non-profit arts organizations, including the Tucson Symphony Orchestra, Tucson Museum of Art, Arizona Theatre Company and UApresents. She currently serves as the Director of Development for the University of Arizona Museum of Art.
