Jason Roederer has been a member of the Tucson Symphony Orchestra double bass section since 1995. In addition to his obligations in Tucson, Mr. Roederer performs with Sante Fe Pro Musica and spends his summers as principal bass with the Missouri Symphony. Mr. Roederer began double bass studies at age 12 and appeared as a guest soloist with the Mesa Symphony at age 16. Aside from attending various festivals, Mr. Roederer has worked with numerous orchestras including; Phoenix Symphony, Memphis Symphony and Arizona Opera Orchestra with whom he participated in the full production of Wagner’s Ring Cycle. Mr. Roederer holds a Bachelor and Masters degree in double bass performance from the University of Arizona and was recently appointed string bass instructor at Pima Community College.
